We made this using Explain Everything. This is an App on the iPad. We made it to show you what we have been learning as part of our science topic this term about materials.

We made this Igloo yesterday. It is made out of sugar cubes. We stuck them together with icing.

Ella's Writing

Ella wanted to share her writing about some Paper Dolls we made a few weeks ago after we read the book 'The Paper Dolls' by Julia Donaldson.


Maths

Look what Ella and Samuel did during maths. They practiced working out how many 1's, 10's and 100's are in numbers to 1000.


Room 2 Discovery

This morning Room 2 did Discovery just with our class. Our focus exploring materials as this is our topic theme for the term.

Room 2

Thanks to Baxter, his mum and grandparents for sharing their sunflower seeds with us. Room 2 have planted the seeds and are looking forward to watching them grow. Baxter also brought some of the seedlings he has been growing at home. This will be the focus of our writing this week as we are learning to write instructions.







Learning about social skills

Today we did a cooperation activity. We had to work together to make as many words as we can.








Yesterday we talked about how to help others when they are hurt.






Ella's dancing success.

In the holidays I had a highland dancing competition at Middleton Grange School. I got first in the sword dance and I got lots of ribbons. By Ella 





Girls Football Week

This morning all the Year 3/4 girls took part in the Mainland Football Girls Football Week.  The girls had a fantastic time playing mini football (soccer) games and learning some new skills. They even got to meet Annalie Longo (who plays midfielder for the New Zealand Football Ferns) and get her autograph.
