Term 3

Check out our room ! It looks different.

This morning Room 2 talked about what things we need to make our classroom fabulous. Here are some idea's.

Room two  will be learning about fractions over the next two weeks. Today we completed a fraction circle about ourselves.

Term 3

Today we practiced our plays during reading. We are learning to act, stay focused, read at the right pace and use expression. We are getting ready to present them soon.

This morning we talked about self control. We had to use self control not to pop the bubbles.

We did a team challenge and learned to work together and communicate. We had to use the rubber band and strings to move the cups. 

During fitness we did another team challenge and  we had to work together to move the hoop.

Here are our fraction catchers. They are helping us to learn to identify symbols and find fractions.

Maths term 2

We are learning to use directions.

We can do this when we can give and follow directions using the points of a compass - North, South East and West.

Room 2 went outside and did a treasure hunt in pairs. One person hid the treasure. They then had to give their partner instructions to find it. E.g 2 steps north... It was a fun way to practice what we had been learning in class.

Our next learning step is to identify and use other directions such as north-east, south-west etc.
